It’s time to shine like a diamond baby!
TODAY IS THE DAY CURVES IN MOTION LET LOOSE!
The day started off well. I got up on time and head straight for the…you know my coffee! Hint: I probably need to buy stock in McDonalds…hmmm! Off topic, back to what I was saying! The early morning traffic was amazing, easy going, and Nascar ride, type feel…hint if you know what I mean! No, I didn’t get a ticket…thank GOD!
Arrival:
I arrived with my belongings and again Mallory greeted me with an open-heart love as I walked in the building. The building was so illuminated and well lit! The skyline view was so bright and cheerful! As I proceeded inside, I put my things down and quickly usher to the runway to have a meeting and practice. Tavy proceeded to give us our directions of the runway. Mallory had a brief conversation with us. She made us feel very welcome and at ease. She explained how the day will be setup, where the vendors will be position, photographers will be, and the red carpet. The setup of the building was nicely down well put together.
Backstage:
Disclaimer: BEFORE I PROCEED WITH THIS BLOG…I WANT TO GIVE A HUGE BLESSING AND THANK YOU TO RAE AND TAVY FOR BEING THE BEST MODEL COORDINATORS WOMEN CAN ASK FOR!
During backstage Tavi and Rae explained the line up and making sure all everyone was taking care. Rae took some time out and to explain how to walk in lingerie, how to showcase the look, and really sale the garment. Mallory and team provided breakfast from Dunkin’ Donuts and lot of water. I must admit I ate quit a few oranges that was tasty and delicious, but no time to waste had to get to make-up and hair.
Everyone was well organized. We were sent out line-up from our model coordinators for hair and make-up. Due to some complications there were only two make-up artists and two beauticians who were there to solidify about 20 faces. What an amazing time! Every model chipped in to help one another. Everyone made sure each
and everyone was ok and needed anything. For example, many women didn’t have stockings, but like a true sisterhood Tavi and Reshonda was there to provide. Tia was suffering by in her adnominal, but everyone made sure she had meds to help her get through her sickness. Tysha, I mean sis came through with the fanning, the make-up prep, and mad encouragements. We weren’t allow to talk to Mallory (jokingly) she still made it her duty to make sure we were ok from the time we walked in, during the show, from the time we left. She never skipped a beat to assuring we were well taking care of.
During hair and make-up we all helped one another, not one person complained (well at least I didn’t hear) about anything.
Showtime:
Now its time to walked the walked we’ve all been waiting for anciently for several months. The designers did a phenomenal job on securing the looks for each model. The looks were unique and dashing. The crowd went crazy. I heard the crowd when all models went to showcase, the people recorded some amazing pictures, and the sales were on fire! The timing of the show was perfect!
Our host Chasity Saunders kept the crowd moving. She shared some great information about modeling, body confidence, and her journey in the industry for over ten years, and she to also showcase her new line. Chasity is a walking example that if you really work for you want God will make sure you are sitting at the table making sound decisions and just not receiving them.
The best part of the whole event was Mallory being able to sit and watch her fruition come to past. I know she is very please anddelighted of the outcome of her three-year-old child. It is amazing to see how God can take a little and make it so grand that even your enemies are at awe! So I say personal you did a hell of a job! The work and time you put in was amazing and out of this world. I know God has more up His sleeves and really going to illuminate you more than what you’re mind can think of! Love you sis and always in my prayers.
The End
To all my model friends who I was able to share this journey with I say, “I love you all!” You all made modeling easy and worth the walk!
